Sitio Liwa (Liw-liwa) is located at the town of San Felipe Zambales. If you are planning to go for a daytrip/ weekend surf trip, Liwa is the place to be.
HOW TO GET THERE: 1. Bus ride to Iba Zambales. Destination is San Felipe Zambales. Victory liner offers trips almost every hour. Here are the terminals that you can choose from:
If in case you missed the trip to Iba Zambales, you have a choice to have cutting trip to Olongapo, then from Olongapo there are bus to Iba Zambales.
2. Upon reaching the town of San Felipe, the landmark is Bobulon Elementary School, you can ride tricycle going to Liw-liwa. TRAVEL TIME: 3 Hours SURFING SEASON: April – September (South Swell) WHERE TO STAY: 1. Circle Hostel The first time I went to Liwa, I stayed in Circle Hostel and since then, I didn't looked for any other place to stay. Although, there are other choices for accomodation but Circle Hostel gave me the relax and laid back ambiance. If you are into arts, you can even paint on the walls. And for a very affordable price,they have free breakfast of banana, bread and peanut butter, best meal before hitting the water.

Drink and Dine Ate Fely's Mommy Phoebe's Sari-sari store Ihaw-ihaw on the street 3. Town tour You can ask the locals or the hostel for a cheap town tour. 4. Biking along the street of Liwa. There are bike rentals available. 5. Skimboarding They also offer skimboard rentals and lessons. 6.Skate If you are into skateboarding, Good Karma has pit bowl where you can practice your skateboarding skills. HOW TO GET BACK TO MANILA: 1. Ride a tricycle to main road of San Felipe. There are buses straight to Cubao but mostly buses are Olongapo bound so you need to cut trip. 2. Upon reaching Olongapo, there are trips to Pasay and Cubao. Enjoy the stoke of Liwa!
